Every Sunday Night at 6:00pm at Pastor Joel & Peggy’s house!
City on a Hill dangerously devotes ourselves to discipleship through Mentorship and Bible Study.
City on a Hill is dangerously devoted to Transformation!
We won’t settle for social clubs that make us feel better about ourselves, we are passionately devoted to serious Bible Study that forces us to examine our motives, desires, and ambitions. We dare to let the Word of God change us, transform us, and make us into the image of Christ.
Every Tuesday Men & Women gather from all walks of life and backgrounds. Some have a lot of knowledge in the Word of God and some are new Believers and know very little about the Word. Either way we all gather to learn and grow! We dig in deep and challenge one another to be authentic, real, and transparent. Every Christian needs accountability and every Christian needs to know the Word of God for themselves. We want to model what scripture says,
2 Timothy 2:15 “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”
1 Peter 3:15 “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,”
Acts 17:11 “Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.”
Because we believe,
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart”
Our Men and Women meet separately to allow a more vulnerable, less intimidating environment. Our heart as a church is to be real and through us being genuine we create an atmosphere where anyone can share their heart honestly.
We believe the Word of God is powerful and when a Christian studies the Word and is equipted by the Word, they can then live a dangerously bold witness for Christ.
